Safety is paramount to the tappON. We are 100% committed to ensuring every one of our members feels safe and protected when booking or providing supports on tappON.
This is why we have specially designed our signup process to ensure we are asking the right questions and getting the right types of identity documents.
So what types of checks will I need?
Police Check –
Every Support Worker must provide a copy of their current Police Check to ensure they have no disclosable court outcomes recorded. A Police Check lasts for 3 years and must always be up to date. If you left your Police Check lapse your account will be placed on hold until we receive an updated copy.
You can receive you police check by going to https://www.veritascheck.com.au/apply – and providing them with your details and copies of photo identification. The usual turnaround time is > 1 day however if you have a common name or other circumstances this can take longer. If doing this online isn’t suitable for you, you may complete the form on the government website and head into any local Police Station within 30 days to show your ID.
Working With Children Check –
This is not mandatory for everyone on the tappON platform, but only for those who are working with individuals aged 18 and under. This is a certificate issued separately from the Police force and involves a national criminal history check and a review of findings of workplace misconduct. A government-issued photo identification –
This is so we can site a formal identification and ensure your details match the ones in our system. This can be IDs such as a Passport, Australian driver’s license or photo ID card. Please note identification must have a photo on it, so we cannot accept a birth certificate or other cards.
If you could please have all these ready before you begin your signup process. All documents will be stored securely and tappON will never reveal your personal information to 3rd parties.
