Personal Care is when a trained individual assists you in your activities of daily living. This can include showering toileting, grooming, and dressing. Personal Carers may also assist you with transfers or additional assistance with mobility if required. Personal Carers on tappON are required to have a minimum of Cert III in Disability Support (or similar) or have at least one year hands on experience in this field.
Some individuals may require a high level or specialised personal care services. This means the Personal Support Professional has had extra training in doing a specific task. If you require high care services, you can always directly message your personal carer and as for their qualifications.
Personal Care Support is typically funded under the Core Category of your NDIS Plan, through your Home Care Package or though your Disability Support Pension.
